Mr. Carbonell-Astor earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, School of Law. While attending law school, he worked for approximately two years at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Puerto Rico, where he served as student intern for Chief Bankruptcy Judge Enrique S. Lamoutte, as well as for Bankruptcy Judge Brian K. Tester. Prior to joining AMG, Mr. Carbonell-Astor started his career as an Associate in Cancio, Nadal, Rivera & Díaz P.S.C., where he focused his practice in counseling domestic and international clients on legal matters concerning the preparation and submission of corporate documents and reports, commercial financing and secured transaction documents, real estate due diligence activities and negotiation of business agreements, including those related to asset-based transactions.
